Cinema may be, if not an answer, at least a plaster for the wounds of today’s world. Financial crisis, feeble ecology and child abuse are plagues which warn us every day about the state of mankind. The authors present in Marrakech are eager to make this world a better place, with no other illusion than good sense.

The Festival is traditionally a haven for these directors, actors, writers, all these artists who contribute to this necessary and saving work. 20 nationalities throughout more than 100 films prove right here and right now that it is possible.
Great Britain to whom we pay a special tribute shows through its cinema and the films of the last 40 years which will be screened in Marrakech that filmmakers are part of history. They show how brave it is to try and change things… Let’s follow them on this hopeful path. |
