“A good film is a film which gives a vision of the world as well as a vision of cinema” François Truffaut used to say.

Regarding this, the Marrakech International Film Festival is no substitute for a missing experience but the living and kicking expression of the force one finds at the end of all our weaknesses.
This 8th edition presents filmmakers who have overcome impatience, choosing freedom as a means for truth, challenging history’s injustice not to remain the only story told.
Art is an ontologically female way of being, coming from this “rib” providing wisdom for everyone and welcoming all the shipwrecks of the world.
Michelle Yeoh, Sigourney Weaver, daughters of Mnemosyne, impersonate this eternal memory of creation, matrix of all arts, and which was born on the day the sky messenger was saddled. It is to the real beauty of this talent which turns the sky red that the Festival is paying tribute, associating these modern times heroines with their anonymous daughters.
This harmony bringing together Asia and America with Andreï Konchalovsky’s Russia seals with joyful oil this music of the muses.
“The reasons of love dress me up with their essence, with clothes of contradictions such as present and absent.”
