EDITORIAL OF HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS

I have absolute confidence in the level of excellence of the competition, the great value of the members of the jury, the confirmation of all the groundwork laid for the visually handicapped, the educational value of cinema master classes and, above all, in the affectionate and faithful presence of all the people who have already walked the red carpet and who will do us the kindness of coming back this year.

I find all these established fundamentals really heart-warming indeed.
I am also convinced that this 9th edition of the FIFM is to be a tremendous success, even more so since the Festival is to embrace the cause of the Environment on December 8th: an entire day dedicated to films which warn mankind against its own immoderation.

Besides, by paying tribute to South-Korean cinema, the Festival shows Moroccan cinema the noble path of voluntarism, perseverance and intelligence.

May this 9th edition of the FIFM strengthen in our directors the will to convey, with talent, the many facets of our beautiful country, Morocco, a land of Islam, progress and tolerance, of which the FIFM has become a living symbol.
