The International Film Festival comes to its eighth edition with a strong ambition shared by authorities of the city : to base the festival on the international cinema chessboard , among the worldly seventh art meetings , celebrating the best national and international productions in their artistic and cultural diversity , and at last to contribute to the innovation of the artistic program of the festival . |

The eighth edition will know the homage of paid to the British Cinema, one of the most dynamic and oldest cinemas in the world .This will boost the festival’s notoriety among cinema lovers in general and English speaking people in particular.
Of course, Marrakech will vibrate with its all parts for the festival during ten days: the city’s squares will be animated by manifestations putting the public close to its artist stars .Projection rooms of the city will show movies on the FIFM’s program and also the high school for visual arts of Marrakech will organize conferences on cinema art for students, professionals, and the great public. In sum, everything is ready to make of the great artistic event a popular success for the pleasure of the people and the inhabitants of Marrakech.
